Editor note in the data file
This Mixed badge is an editor note from Bambu's own 26 Aug 2026 release text, not a poll. Tube-detachment detection is switched off, external-spool filament data is wiped, and hole sizes can shift enough to matter for parts that must fit work printed on the previous firmware. The notes do not describe a wave of failed prints. Read the three items, then decide.
Filament track switch support, a foreign-object detection toggle, and a change to circular-hole compensation. Official notes list two known issues and warn that fitted parts can change size.
Write down the external-spool filament type and color before installing 01.04.00.00 — the official notes say that information is erased. If you are in the middle of a set of parts that must fit together, finish the set first: the hole-compensation change can shift size. Handy is the usual downgrade path while Bambu still hosts the previous package. Earlier notes say motor noise reduction has to be calibrated again if you roll back across the version that changed it.
Tell the next H2D owner whether 01.04.00.00 was fine, or what broke. This is stored with the site, not sent to Bambu.
